Creating Zapier Account

  1. Go to https://zapier.com/sign-up and click Sign Up.

      

  1. Either sign up with a third party account listed or enter in the required information and click "Get Started Free".

      

What does Call Log Zap Do

A Call Log Zap will enter call history information such as Caller ID, the number dialed, the display number, the direction, duration of call, the position of a call, and the time of call.

What Does a SMS History Zap Do

A SMS History Zap will enter into google sheets your SMS history with data such as who the text is from, who it was sent to, the body of the message, and the time the message was sent/received.

What Does a SMS Received Zap Do

A SMS Received Zap will enter your received SMS messages into google sheets and display who the message is from, what number it was sent to and the body of the message.

What Does a Voicemail Zap Do

A Voicemail History Zap will enter data into a google sheet and will show you the number dialed, the time the call was placed, the duration of the message, the message id, who who left the message, and the date the message was left.

Creating a Zap

  1. Click on the "Create Zap" button and wait for the page to load.

      

  1. For Trigger Selected the Reliable PBX Application.

      

Creating a Call Log Zap

  1. Click the Event option and choose the Call log option.
      

  1. Press "Continue" once Call Log is selected.

      

  1. In Choose Account Select the appropriate extension and press "Continue".

      

  1. Now Choose a start date from when you would like to trigger to start gathering information and press "Continue" (acceptable formats are 2/13/2020 8PM EST, 2020-10-26T16:56, and 1393462573).

      

  1. Once the date is entered Zapier will automatically pull a test case from within the time frame selected all that is needed is to press "Continue".

      

  1. Now Choose a action in this example we will choose Google Sheets.

      

  1. Now we will choose "Create Spread Sheet Row(s)" and press "Continue".

      

  1. Now Under choose an account a drop down box will appear with the option connect new account press that and a pop out will appear.
      


  1. Now you will choose three options first select My google drive for the "Drive" field.
    1. For the "Spreadsheet" option choice the Spreadsheet you would like to use,
      1. For "Worksheet" choose what sheet you want the info imported to.

      


  1. Now for the Rows section you will input the corresponding variables to each option as shown below.

      

  1. Now Click Test Action.

      

  1. Finally click Publish Zap.

      


Creating a SMS History Zap

  1. Under "Event" Choose SMS History and press "Continue".

      

  1. Now Choose your account.

      


  1. Select your Caller ID/s and Press "Continue".

      

  1. Click Test Trigger.

      

  1. The system will automatically find a text message, press "Continue" once it does.

      

  1. Click on Google Sheets.

      

  1. Click on Create Spreadsheet Row(s) and press "Continue".

      

  1. Now Select a Account.

      


  1. Now Select the appropriate entries for Drive, Spreadsheet, and Worksheet.

      

  1. Again Select the appropriate entries for "To", "From", "Body", and "Time Stamp". Once done press "Continue".

      

  1. Now Click Test Action.

      

  1. Finally Click Publish Zap.

      

Creating a SMS Received Zap

  1. Select SMS Received in the events option and press "Continue". 

      

  1. Now Select Your Account and Press "Continue".

      

  1. Now Select you Caller ID/s and press "Continue".

      

  1. Once you Test your trigger press "Continue".

      


  1. Select Google Sheets and Create Spreadsheet Row(s) and press "Continue".

      

  1. Select you google account and press "Continue". 

      

  1. Now Select the appropriate entries for Drive, Spreadsheet, and Worksheet.

      


  1. Again Select the appropriate entries for "To", "From",  and "Body". Once done press "Continue".

      

  1. Now Click Test Action.

      

  1. Finally Click Publish Zap.

      

Creating a Voicemail Zap

  1. Under "Event" Choose Voicemail and press "Continue".
      
  1. Now Select Your Account and Press "Continue".
      
  1. Now enter your mailbox number and press "Continue".
      
  1. Press "Continue". 
      
  1. In "Events" select Create Spreadsheet Row(s) and press "Continue".
      
  1. Select you google account and press "Continue".
      
  1. Now Select the appropriate entries for Drive, Spreadsheet, and Worksheet and press "Continue".
      
  1. Again Select the appropriate entries for "Callerid, "origtime", "duration", "msg_id", "from_number", and "datetime" fields.
  2. Press "Continue".
      
  1. Now Click Test Action.
      
  1. Finally Click Publish Zap.
      

How to Send a Message with Zapier

  1. For trigger select Google Sheets.
      

  1. For event select "New or Updated Spreadsheet Row"
  2. Press "Continue".

      

  1. Under account select your Google Account
  2. Press "Continue".

      

  1. Select the appropriate information and ensure that the Trigger Column is set to the column where the message will be entered.
  2. Press "Continue".

      

  1. Before testing your trigger go to google sheets and enter the number linked to your app, the number you wish to send a text to, and the message you wish to send.

      

  1. Press "Test Trigger".

      

  1. Press "Continue".

      

  1. For Event choose the Reliable PBX App.

      

  1. Now Select "Send SMS" and press "Continue".

      

  1. Now select your account and press "Continue".

      

  1. Enter the correct variables for each field and press "Continue".

      


  1. Now press "Test Action".

      


  1. Finally click "Publish Zap".
